Piezo Signal Horn?

I have a Triton Fish and Ski rig that will probably never leave inland waters. I searched these forums for troubleshooting and repair and the "hidden horn" is dead.

Any opinions on this piezo hidden horn from innovativelight? "http://www.innovativelight.com/-sets-piezo-electronic-hidden-horn_p_1466_11570_2.cfm"

My walleye boat has one and I can shout louder than that poor excuse for a horn. It even sounds awful.

Anyone have success with a car horn? They seem to be about the same price and much louder. The thing gets mounted under my console--doesn't seem like much more moisture than in the grill of my car in Louisiana springtime.

i use to use junk yard horns all the time. no problem. now i just use the good old compressed air in a can horn. i thnk legally all you need is a whistle.

Yeah, I've got a whistle but I've also got such a pretty button that says "horn" and this hole in the side of my console! I think I'll get a junkyard horn and put a led deck light where the horn grill is/was.

you will get more use out of the light, than the horn.
