Pilot light

I have 1974 Fiberform 22 1/2 boat. Since I can't find a owners manual I have a question. In the center of guage panel is a light labled "Pilot", when I connect the main battery the light comes on and will not go off until the battery is disconnected. What is this light trying to tell me?

I'll answer my own question. After checking the wires from the "Pilot" light, I found that the light indicates when your lights are on.
