pin drive- Chyslers and others? had a steel pin that went through the prop shaft and prop housing. Not to be cofused with a shear pin.

spline drive- ? - a shaft, such as most prop shafts or a drive shaft, will have grooves or teeth cut into them. From the end, they look like points of a star. They fit into grooves that are cut into the mating piece.

thru hub exhaust- There is a passage way thru the inner portion of the prop, and the exhaust exits thru it. A motor with NON thru hub exhaust will have a sloid looking prop, and the exhaust comes out somewhere else, usually just above the prop.
