I think I have a pin whole crack in my lower unit. It's leaking oil very slowly. Any Ideas how to home fix it?

May need to be welded, depending on where it is. Post a picture.

Those pics are hard to see. You could try JB weld or Durafix rods to fix it at home. Use a stainless steel wire brush to clean it up first. Don't use a steel brush as small metal pieces will get into the hole which is not good.

Thanks, I thought the same thing myself. Will a hole like that suck in water?

suck in... probably not... but seep in most likely... like earlier post kinda hard to see but it seems to me that it would be an easy fix, but def. dont let it go too long or if you do change that lower unit gear oil every trip

It'll let oil out and water in. And I agree, change your oil a lot if you're not gonna fix it.

Carfully grind the leak and by that I mean take off a 1/16'' in an area a little bigger than the crack then jb it, make sure anywhere the JB is is scuffed really good.

I had a lower for 3 years with a huge crack that I fixed this way and it never got any water in it.
