pin holes in monitor

I have been noticing lately(they probably have been there for a while now)pin holes in my monitor screen. Some are a clear white(almost like a light shining) and others have gone black. This is mainly noticable on a green screen(like games, etc). Is this a heads up to me that my monitor is slowly going and I should replace it? It is an old monitor(digital VRC16), but also has been a really good one. Any thoughts on my pin holes?

The phosphorous coating on the screen of your monitor is finally wearing thin. this creates those white spots you see. Yep its time to find a new monitor soon.

Take a marker and black them out if they offend you. ;)
