HI guys,

Got a 1984 evinrude super 65. needs pistons and rings.

On shop evinrude the piston #387284
the number stamp in the actual pistons is 433945, is this the piston number or just a common number that happens to match a brp piston #?

Re: piston mix up

Beats me. Maybe the kit has a different part number because it is listed as a kit (Piston+Rings), rather than just the piston alone?
Hopefully someone with an original parts list will chime in and clear it up.

Do you think that someone had rebiult this be for a used the 433945 pistons as they have the same dimentions only different weights?

Should I go back to the stoke parts or stick with these pistons.
