hey guys,

one of the water jackets blew on the ehaust manifold due to the gasket and that allowed water in the bottom cylinder. so i took the manifold off and to my suprise i saw slight scoring on the bottom piston. the rings are fine. i guess this happened when we ran it on one cylinder to see what the problem was. well now should i change the piston? or leave it the way it is? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

Well that sort of a tough question. The right thing to do is replace and repair. The reality is, if you still have exceptable compression and you have stopped the water problem and there seems to be no further damage, this motor will probably run a good long time the way it is. Since I can't see the damage I am only guessing.
