Pistons and gaskets without full kit?

The full powerhead rebuild kit for my 87, 70hp merc is roughly $1000 by the time I factor in shipping to canada.

Can someone point me in a direction to pick up pistons/rings, and gasket kit for a much better price? I do not need all the bearings and other stuff. In canada would be a bonus.

Its usually cheaper to find a used running motor than rebuild it

Wiseco for pistons and rings, your local machine shop fore bore and hone, then gaskets

I am not a Wiseco fan ...seen to many seized. You can get the WSM kits with or without bearings. Just order gasket kit(500-206) and pistons(100-25-XX). USA $$ pistons...$105.13 ea , gasket set with seals...$53.93

Thanks! I went with wsm pistons and gasket kit from a canadian supplier. Thanks for the suggestion.
