Hello everyone. Im new to the site. Tried using the search but didnt find any help. Someone was getting rid of a 1973 15ft silverline comoro tri-hull with a 50hp johnson, so i took it as a project and cleaned it up. It has a 15 pitch prop on it. I do not have a rpm guage but it doesnt seem to be getting high rpms at WOT. Any suggestions on whether or not this pitch is correct?
thanks in advance.

In general, 15 seems a little high for a 50 hp on a 15' tri-hull. How the boat is generally loaded can make a big difference and without a tach you are shooting in the dark.

In the long run ,no tach, your shooting in the dark with the gun to your motors head. For best parformance and long term motor health the motor needs to operate within its rated rpm range.A Tiny Tach is about $47 and easy to install.
