Well here is the next issue in line.

1968 Seabird w/307sbc to OMC electric shift.

I noticed my outdrive has a broken pivot cap on the right side. It's obvious the previous owner tried to seal it with engine silicone. I tried to find them online but can't yet. I want to buy one new or used and would like the o-ring as well as the end cover gasket/s. Maybe even the pivot liners...are these the trunnion bearings?

Will the stuff off of other years work? seems it would....

Please if you can find the part somewhere or have one I could buy let me know.

Thanks,
-Rotor

Re: Pivot cap

Try Seaway Marine in Seattle. They've had everything that I needed for my 1975 225 OMC. Bearing retainer caps look very similar to yours. And no, you can't have mine.
