Does anyone in the Southern California area know of lakes and/or bays that permit the use of an 8'8" inflatable with an electric motor? Several of the lakes I have looked at required a minimum of 10'.

Thank you

The web sites for Lake Hemet and Diamond Valley Lake are two. I did find out that I can use it at Lake Perris and Irvine Lake. I did inquire about using it at Mission Bay as well and was told that I had to register it if I wanted to use it there.

If you have any type of motor (electric included) your boat needs to be registered to use in any body of water in CA.
I'm in Norcal and there isn't any restrictions on length that i'm aware of.
Take it out in the Pacific. I take my 9' out there and it does fine.
