planning to buy a boat need help and suug

hey guys, there is sea pro 1999 center console 21 ft with an 1999 johnson 150 v4 with i think less than 100 hrs still on extended warranty. for $15,500 obo. is has a bini top, performance trailer everything looks in good shape. What you guys think of the sea pro are their good, and the engine? I mostly fish offshore so what you guys think, thanks ill appreciated for any suggestion.

Ahoy, Bob.<br /><br />Is that engine a 150 (V6) or a V4? Is it carbureted or Ficht injected?<br /><br />1999 was probably the worst year in the entire history of Johnson engines. The Ficht V6s were terrible, and the other models had many quality issues.<br /><br />There were a few good ones, and the one you are looking at may be one.<br /><br />I would look elsewhere.<br /><br />Good luck.

follow jb's advise on the engine. but if it checks out ok, that is a nice rig for nearshore/bay fishing. have always heard sea pro's are good boats and it seems like a decent price, if it comes with the goodies as well (finder, gps, livewell, etc). good luck-

Hi Bob,<br /><br />My Dad has a 1991 Sea Pro 17'. It has been an excellent boat. Sea Pro boats are solid, dry and smooth. I cannot comment on the engine, but in my opinion Sea Pro builds an awesome boat.<br /><br />Good Luck...
