Hello Everyone

Somewhere, in the last few months, I saw a set of detailed plans. for sale, for a boat rotisserie. I contacted the seller and then forgot where and who they are.

Does anyone know where I can find plans for a boat rotisserie?

Thanks for you help.

That's a helluva gadget, but for 3 grand how often are you really gonna use it? If you're gonna have the boat apart for initial restoration you can just flip the hull to do bottom work. After that how many times are you really going to be working on the bottom that requires turning it upside down?

Just my humble opinion, but $3k would go a long way toward rebuilding the boat as opposed to just have a convienent way to get to the bottom.

Re: Plans for Bost Rotisserie?

Those are the guys the make one called the Bottoms Up, I am looking for a set of plans so I can build one. I can build that sucker for a hole lot less that three grand and have fun doing it.

I may have seen the plans on eBay or it could have been in a magazine ad. Nevertheless, it will not be hard to build and it sure will be useful.

I am all most through with my Key West so it is not a big deal with it. A friend has a runabout we are working on plus I have two very old Arkansas Traveler Jon boats I am going to put back in original condition. It is far from necessary for the Travelers but is will make the task much easier. The boat I want to end up with will be a 21' to 23' bay-reef boat. I kink of have my eyes open for something that needs work but has not severe damage. I fish the Arkansas and Mississippi Rivers. I plan on making two or three trips to the Gulf every year.

Machine work is a hobby and I can weld well enough to build something like that with ease. I am also a farmer and know I have enough scrap metal to put a dent in it, not to mention fork lift mast, hydraulic cylinders, bearings, etc.

I have never even seen one of these units so a set of detailed plans will be great.
