I sold a 1990's Alumacraft T12S about 3 years ago because I started a buisness and needed equipment. And now regret getting rid of it. To me it was a great boat that could be powered by low hp motors and do everything I needed. To this day I am still looking for another Alumacraft T12S or T14S. I called Alumacraft and they said they discontinued the T12S and T14S line. My question is why?

Before I Bought the T12S I tried 12' Tracker V-hull, 12' Crestliner V-hull, 12' Lund semi-v, 12' Grumman semi-v and a 12' Alumacraft T12 Which was better than all the others listed above. But still not as good as the Alumacraft T12S.

The other V-hull boats have there place in boating. I believe that is higher speeds but I believe there are much more boaters like myself that do not need or desire a V-hull boat with hard chines.

I feel the Alumacraft T12S and T14S boats were in a league by themselves. No other boat I tried handled milded waves better starboard and port than these. I guess it was the stretched formed hull design. The boats had nice rounded chimes and because of this design you did not get beat up or soaked. the boat rolled with the waves, It handled better at lower speeds than all the others listed, used very little power to move it.

I feel Alumacraft made a huge mistake discontinuing these models. I believe they would of had the market if they pushed these models for what they were designed for.

We have lakes here in the North East to South East that have no wake from evening to 11:00am the next day. These boats excelled in this use.To me no other aluminum boat I tried could do what these fine Alumacraft boats could do.

The design reminded me of a Semi-Displacement Hull. I believe Alumacraft used a 6000 series heat treated aluminum and that made them a very durable rivited boad that had very few problems. I had absolutly no leaks or problems.

I cannot find another aluminum boat Manufacture of the quality and design of the Alumacraft T12S and T14S line.

I am hoping Alumacraft would consider be bringing the T12S and T14S back to the market. I would buy another in a heatbeat.

Please give your input.

Thanks,

Henry
