Please confirm Im right - merc blueband 70hp

I do not yet have the engine and only a few details,

The engine is a 70hp Mercury, three cylinder, serial number 9372298, it also has a blue strip around the engine cover, the cover is the wrap around type.

Would I be right in saying its 1980 year of build. are parts still available and is a manual available too

Hi,

Looks more like a Belgium built engine of 1983.

Manual and parts are still all available.

thanks for the info I trust your correct despite what i've been told local

can anyone else confirm this please as im told the 83 models would start 6279960 - B110053 - It seems the 1979 models are 9207526 - 9255130 - 1980 is 9255131 - ??

Only what I've been told local so I have no idea

anyone confirm its 1981 or 1983 please
