please help got a buzz coming from shifter arm 1990 evinrude

we started to get a buzz from shifter arm.the boat seem to be doing fine but then it started to die at all speeds when it would die we would hit the bulb on gas line it would run fine for a hafe mile then die reading 11 volts on meterbut it acts like it is running out of gas the buzz happens about ever min or 2 would be great for any imfo

Thats probably the overheat alarm. When the water jacket temperatures exceed the temperature switch rating, the horn will sound and the rpm's drop<br />so you dont burn up your motor.

i thank you their was water in the oil container i thank that was causeing it to over heat and the water was shoting in with the gas causeing it to die glad it did not tair nothing eles up thanks again for your imfo
