please help had reverse but now i have none 50hp force 1987

about two weeks ago i knocked my skid plate off and put a hole in my lower lower end.i ordered a second hand lower end housing put the hole thing back together and it worked fine execpt wold not go into neutral without going little past neutral then back to neutral.today i had the boat out and no reverse just sits and revs up no noise.when i put it back i couldnt get the inner race out and since the second hand lower end came with one i used it any info would be appreciated thanks fellows

i have the same motor 87 50hp. take the exhast plates off. 6 regular drive bolts. look at the linkage cable on the right side. should have 2 threads showing

have no idea what your talking about (exhust plates) looked in manual and couldnt find them either

2 plates right above the lower unit covering exhust

are you talking under the hood or on the lower end case itself
