Please help with boat pulling to left

The boat is a 1992 Celebrity 19 foot bowrider with a 4.3 merc with an alpha 1 drive and a fairly new SS prop that to my untrained eye looks undamaged. It ran great all last season and the lower unit was removed for some service over the winter. This season it still floats nice and level when at anchor or drifting, but I've been having the following symtoms.

At idle speed and just above idle speed the boat is level, but pulls slightly to left when steering straight. A slight right turn on the wheel keeps it going straight and it stays level.

At low planing speeds (about 22 - high 20's mph) when steering straight the boat runs level, but pulls to the left and has a normal fairly symmetrical spray pattern coming off of the drive and boat. If I turn the steering wheel about 1/4 turn to the right, then the boat goes straight, but leans to the right as though I'm actually initiating a right turn and has an assymetrical spray pattern coming off the drive.

At higher planing speeds (30+ mph) the boat levels out left to right while the wheel is still a 1/4 turn to the right, but also still pulls to the left if I steer straight and both exhibit the same spray patterns already mentioned.

Any ideas what to look for or where to start? Thanks all!

Look at the rear of your outdrive just under the cavitation plate, there should be a little trim tab that probably was removed to do the service. It is adjustable, since you are pulling left , loosen and rotate it slightly left to compensate for the torque steer you are getting. You might have to do it more than once to get it correct.

Thanks Rocky! I'll make an adjustment and see what happens.

Like rocky said, that tab is adjustable.

Do you have a "hydrofoil" on the drive? That lift generated at the hull centerline can cause the leaning.

Nope, no hydofoil/whaletail, or transom mounted trim tabs. Thanks for the thought though.
