I have these wires hanging on the outside of my boat, under the lip. They go to the trolling motor, the bow lights, and the sonar:

Any suggestions on how to hide them so they don't hang down? I thought about maybe epoxying in a conduit or something. . . I dunno. Right now I have holes drilled for zip ties but they end up breaking after a couple months of UV exposure.

Let me know if you have any suggestions; I'm sure i'm not the first person to deal with this issue.

Thanks!

Conduit will work and then bolt the conduit with SS screws/bolts.

If the zip ties are wasting away from UV I bet they are white ;) try black ones.

Yeah, what the heck is this? When you shoot some overalls for YD, shoot a couple of the interior...from 1 side, stern & bow...

Never seen it done quite that way before.

I was wandering the electrical aisle at Lowes today trying to figure out a decent way to do it on the inside of the boat. Most conduit is either too big or inflexible; then I had a brain phart because I was holding the answer in my hand from the plumbing department. May I suggest using whichever size clear tubing or the fiber reinforced for a few pennies more that will hold all your wire (.25-.37 per foot). Due to the limpness you may need to support it every 12" with the correct size able strap. I would use plastic and SS screws or rivets.

Seriously, I thought about clear tubing!! I think that's the route I'm going as I already have the holes to brace the tubing up with zip ties.

You guys have never seen a Catfighter before?? You're missing out! LOL it's a 1984 Sears Gamefisher.

Here are two more pictures of the boat.

and here it is going up the river:

And, finally, a link to Restoration2012's finished product (most likely the best fiberglass gamefisher you'll ever see):

I decided to put the wires on the outside so I don't ever have to worry about tripping on them at night when I'm catfishing.

Well..you could use some plastic electrical conduit .. then attach with some conduit straps and through bolts ?

I figured it out; I bought some stiff refrigerator tubing that I was going to use as a conduit, but then decided to just zip tie it to the wires, and then connect the wires to the rub rail. NOw they don't hang down (which was the issue).

I would have used conduit but I didn't want to have to re-run all the wires inside the conduit. . . .

Thanks for the suggestions
