i am getting ready to purchase my first boat. owner of it doesnt know make and model if i get ser#of boat and motor can i get any information with that. would like to know year built,make ,model etc.any information.thanks

The boat might have a plate riveted some plase on the hull, or a ser.no. on the stbd transom. The mtr should have a s/n plate located in various places.Give us all the info you have +eng. hp and it can be traced.
