Re: please help with trailer lights

I would guess the red is turn/stop, the white is tail and the black is ground. You could take the light apart and see what wire goes where, or connect the wires to a battery and see what does what if anything. Then of course your bulbs may be burned out or there may be corrosion on the socket or bulb. If there LED lights forget the corrosion problem
After you got that figured out, make sure you have the vehicle grounded well to the trailer, and the lights grounded well to the trailer. So its white grounded to the trailer, yellow(left turn) and brown(tail) on the left, then green(right turn) and brown(tail) on the right. It's much better to solder and heat shrink your connections, but adding heavy grease to seal crimp connectors will work ok.

Get the adapter from Ford for your vehicle. There's several aftermarket ones out there also. You're gonna be blowing a bunch of fuses without the correct harness.

Re: please help with trailer lights

I just rewired my trailer. Starting with the four strand flat trailer wire the colors go like this, white/ground, green/right turn/stop, yellow/left turn/stop, brown/tail/marker lights.

On your two tail/stop/turn lights: mount one to the left & right rear of your trailer.

The one on the right rear is wired as follows:
white to white/Ground
black to brown/tail light
green to red/stop & turn signal light

The one on the left rear is wired an follows:
white to white/ground
black to brown/tail light
Yellow to red/stop & turn signal light

If you have marker lights anywhere on the trailer:
White to white/ground
whatever other color from the light/brown wire

Hope this makes sense.

If your trailer has electric trailer brakes then it's all different.
