please help

i have an evinrude 5hp angler serial # 5802M-E02829. i would like to know the year and model #. i would also like to know the correct fuel mix ratio. i also have a lot of white smoke (possibly due to old gas, but not sure). i am new to this whole boat engine thing and would really appreciate some info. thanks.:confused:

the older engines prior to i think 1967 used 25-1 oil to gas,thats roughly a quart of oil to 6 gallons.I was told with the newer oils you MAY be able to go to a pint to 6 gallons like the newer engines.BUT ,I worked on a older 3 hp,a few yrs ago,and it wouldnt run on the 50-1 ratio.I never posted about this,but my Theory,right or wrong,was the eng.needed the extra oil for compression reasons.I'm awaiting replies from the experts here.As for the date.Im thining late 50's to early 60's
