i just had my carbs rebuilt and cleaned on my 1982 75hp evinrude i took it out to the lake and it would hardly run so i took it back to the shop and he put it on muffs and it fired right up and ran like a champ so i took it back to the kake and it ran like crap again got it to the house an put it on muff and again it ran like a champ i dont understand please help thank u

i've heard some people say you should set the idle in forward gear on the lake, maybe they set it in the bucket, the carb settings probably are better when set on the water also.

Film495 is right it should have final settings done while on the boat. This way the motor is under load rather than free wheeling on muffs or in a barrel. Best of luck. Rick.

The carburetors could be fine; you may be dropping a cylinder. Run your compression and spark tests correctly to be sure.

sorry guys if i posted wrong i checked compression in all 3 cylinders 145 on all also has spark on all too any help would be great thanks so much for all the help
