Please help!!!!!

I have a problem with my select trim on my boat! When i toggle it up or down the worm gear turns but the engine doesnt move either way!!!!!! The trim is all the way up and i cant get it to come down at all. Could something be stripped????

Did you check and see if you had oil in the pump
it works through a hydrolic system
check the oil

This one is run by an electric motor that turns a screw jack, no hydrolics! I am baffled bc the motor works fine, when I trim up or down the screw jack turns the appropriate way but the motor doesnt move!

Have you pulled the side cover off and checked the clutch pack? Is the shaft that goes through the clutch pack intact?

I took of the cover for the trim indicator and I could see the bottom of the screw jack, looked to b a tapered end, but if th shaft is sheered how is the motor able to turn it! I have a manual but it poorly illustrates the select trim operation so im not sure how it actually works

Should the screw jack even turn or is the mech under the jack supposed to turn therefore moving the screw jack down? Could the screw jack b seize onto the mech causing the mech and the srewjack to turn together which would accomplish nothing?
