I along with one other member have posted questions regarding 32' MARTINIQUES an no questions have been responded to. So let me ask, and I'm not trying in any way to be a smart a--. Am I on the wrong site where members know nothing about Martinique's and should I be looking for another forum for answers. I have been in boating 40+ yrs. and this is the first time I cannot get answers for a boat I own. Thanks and PLEASE RESPOND to this POST.:)

GREAT POST. I have wanted to post what you did for a while. I fele the same way. I have a 94 Martinique that is probably identical to yours in every way except for the radar arch :( I have serious arch envy.

I have posted questions and comments on this forum and also on BoatUS forums and I would say that the response rate is virtually nonexistant. I just don't get it. Is it that fellow Wellcraft Martinique owners are lazy, unknowledgeable, shy, or just clueless about their boat? I know there are a decent amount of us owners out there. These forums can be a great resource that can save you time, money, and frustration. I just don't understand why more people don't try to take advantage of it.

I'd be happy to talk with you about as much as I know about my boat. Any time.

Re: Please respond to this question please

I have a 2001 3000 Martinique and have also had questions. The biggest issue for me is wiring. I have contacted Wellcraft customer service (now in Michigan I think) and they were not even able to help me. There seems to be a total lack of wiring schematics available. The gentlemen that I spoke with indicated that some of the Martiniques were actually built in Australia by Riveira. I think they were all owned by the same parent company that has since filed chapter 11 and was split up.

Wellcraft used to have a forum on their website that was not too bad. I had some questions answered on that. It just up and vanished one day and has never been seen since. It probably is the result of the factory closing in Florida.

The customer service guy that I spoke to gave me a little information over the phone. He was very nice and wanted to help. You may want to give them a ring. The number can be found on their website.

If anyone has information on how to properly wire the batteries, I'd love to know how to do that!!!! The owners manual talks about switches (like the standard Perko), but there are none on my boat at all. I think they forgot to install them or something!

Re: Please respond to this question please

That is VERY strange that you don't have battery switches. I have two located in the cabinet just below my breaker panel. Each switch is wired to an engine for starting and also divides the load for the DC house system. CHECK the wires coming from the batteries and trace them down to see if the run anywhere other to the engines. As I see it you should only have two heavy gauge wires running from a battery to an engine. I need to check to see if they are wired so if one battery is dead I can cross over to the other battery for starting. That is the way they should work when you have a 1,2both/all, off, on type of switch. If the switch is only an off/on then it is for one battery or bank only.

Re: Please respond to this question please

Probably not a whole bunch of Martinique owners here. Figure a very, very small percentage of owners will peruse this forum, or any boating forum. If the questions are specific to the model, not much help is available.
I've not found many Nova II owners, even on speedwake and offshoreonly, so I've been stuck dealing with just generalities as well.

Re: Please respond to this question please

Thats sad. I was a member of an AQUASPORT forum and you could get help regarding a certain model or generalized questions as soon as your post went online. It was a great help when learning about a recently purchased vessel. I also belong to a few pistol forum's dedicated to a certain manuf. and answers are always there to be had. It is also sad when a manufacture can't even answer some of the simplest and basic questions. As thid I have found out.

Not sure if it would help you but I have about 4 pages of documents of wiring codes from the old Wellcraft Sarasota office. All it basically states is where the wire goes to, the amps, wire gauge, and color. I am sure it is very general, but it's some old Wellcraft documentation that might help

Oh yeah don't feel about the battery switches, I am still trying to figure out why they didn't install raw water strainers to both engine intakes on my Wellcraft.

You have to consider if a small percentage of owners are forum members, there are very few Martinique, or even Welly, owners compared to the number of, say, Sturm & Ruger handguns (proud owner of a KP90). I'd guess Welly made < 100 Martiniques per year? Correlates to other vehicles too. My buddy has a beautiful and very rare (1 of about 110) '68 Toronado. Not many people on the forums to get specific info from. I have a 1980 Bradley GT2 electric, GTE, thats 1 of 50. I get some decent info from the Bradley forums, but only generalities, 99% of them were gas powered.
It would be nice if the mfg had any real info. Problem is, the original owner(s) sold to XYZ, who then sold to ABC, etc., and docs get purged or lost.
For general-type issues, I'd post in the regular forums. Most systems on the boats are not specific to a certain model.

Re: Please respond to this question please

I have felt the same thing. There is Anchor Boats in Maryland (410-287-8280) They know a ton about all Wellcrafts, esp Martiniques. I have been contacting all of the manufacturers of components of my 2000 Martinique 2600. I have also spoken with the factory and have found the vendor numbers on many parts. Most of the time the same company many the same part for most Martinique models. Check out my earlier post. One nice thing about the martinique is that the wires are easy to test trace. You can get current tester something like they use to trace cable wires in your house. It has made it easy to determine what goes where.

Does anyone know how to take out the microwave? The simple things seem to be the hardest with this model.

Also I have just found brand new side and connector pieces (in sunbrella gray) for a 2600 martinique. They are new and in the packaging. I went with Mediterranean blue. They are for sale, new they are $580.00, give me your best offer.

+1 on Anchor boats in Northeast Maryland. My home port is a stone's throw away and they have helped me with a few parts (last one was a bathroom exhaust vent cover). Hard find that they got for me in a week.

Re: Please respond to this question please

Can any Martinique owner (around 1994) tell me the color (and approximate guage or diameter) of the power wire to their windlass? Mine doesn't have one but I believe it is pre-wired. There is a black 1/8" wire that is looped back under the bow.

Thanks

Re: Please respond to this question please

Any suggestions on replacement of the starboard fuel sending unit on the 3200 Martinique. Just replaced port side sender today but not sure of access and steps to replace starboard sender.

Thanks for any assistance
