Please tell me what year My motor is iv tried but can't find it

Hey guys I'm offshore and would like to order some parts for a motor I just picked up I can't find anything with the number I have 6348410 it's a 25 mercury I don't think it has a choke just the thing you turn and pull to prime it it has a blue botton under the hood I think that primes it also it shifts on the tiller/thottle handle thanks.

What's throwing me off is the strip colors they are the same as this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MERC...ssories_Gear&hash=item2a13265e0d#ht_500wt_722 it has me wondering because of the number show it older

Any thoughts on why it has newer colors? Do you know what years they use the primer not a choke and the shifter/ thottle

someone may of just updated the decals at one point.

You can buy them in a kit

double check your serial and use the links above to confirm.


And I assume by primer you mean electric choke?

The have been using those for a long time, and as an option on smaller engines.

If you feel that it is a much newer engine than that you could have a model:

Well thanks guys.. But what I was talking about is knob on the front of the motor that you pull out and turn pushes a little blue botton under the hood and Primes the fuel system there's no electric start or choke on it's all manual Thanks again guys
