82 40 HP, 2 stroke, 2 cyl.
Plug seems to be fouled. After running WOT and 4800 RPMs (operation rpms should be 5000-5500) it just died, pulled the plugs, found almost burned oil gunk on them. changed plugs, ran fine if kept at 4300 RPMs. (this is what it cruises at fully loaded)
Pulled the plugs last night and snapped this picture. These are the new plugs with about 1-2 hours on them. It looks like there is oil burning on them again. I did find one of the plug wires was loose and corroded in the coil. Sanded the connection and cleaned it best i could. Would this have caused weak spark and the fouling? I am thinking it may be running a bit rich.
Ideas? Im trying to get this motor all tuned up and running well.
