Hey guys i have an 69-76 mercuriser 140HP 4cyl and it has a no spark issue now im replacing points and cap and condenser and coil (just because i want brand new parts in there the others are presumed good but have sat 3 years) now i believe i have found the culprit i was testing the resistance on the plug wires and got a 10k per foot wich is average, but upon inspection of the wire from the coil to the top of the dist. i am not getting anything on the meter as if the wire is not connected from point a to point b. now me question is, is that normal or is that the problem i am looking for?

P.s. im planning on replacing the wires also i just want to know if that would be the problem as to no spark

Thanks Ryan
