Plug wire installation question

This may be a simple question, but I need to know how the end of the plug wire is installed into the CDM module. Is it basically the cut end of the wire that is just inserted until it stops? Or is there a male end that needs to be crimped on the end of the wire first before inserting into module? I pulled one of the wires off of the module already and it was in there tight and all that came with the wire was just the blunt/cut end of wire.

The outboard is a 1999 Mercury 115HP ELPTO.

Need some advice.

I had the '02 90 hp and that's all it had. If you had a clip on terminal, there would be marks on the old wire where the crimp on connector was mounted and you could look down into the hole in the CDI and see it.

Thanks for the reply. I had a chance to look at it better tonight. I had to screw in the end of the spark plug wire in order for it to be secured in the module.
