Plug wires on '63 Johnson

I'm refurbing the ignition system on my '63 40hp and need new plug wires. The book I'm using says I should use copper core wires, not graphite, but I have been to every parts store in town and can't find copper core.

Am I asking for the wrong thing? Is there another name for it? What else can I use?

Thanks.

Re: Plug wires on '63 Johnson

Good places to look:

Auto parts store in a rural area. Farmers still use the stuff on their farm equipment.

Lawn mower shops. However, they are getting as bad as outboard shops. Stand by for the stupid question "What is the model and serial number of your lawn mower?"

Outboard repair shops. Duh.

It is called copper core spark plug wire. Or "wire wire".
