plugging dip stick hole in new shortblock

I am rebuilding a Volvo 5.7Gi-C. The dip stick goes into the fitting in the bottom of the oil pan. My question is this, what does Volvo use to plug the hole in the block where the dipstick would go in an automotive application? It looks like a soft plug perhaps? I do not see where they threaded it. I am wondering if I could pound it out from the bottom and put it into my new block? ----the Volvo parts diagrams do not seem to really show it. thx Dale

I've always just cleaned all the oil out of the hole with acetone, then with a bolt that just fits in the hole, use some oil and gas resistant sillycone on the bolt and push it in the hole. Never had one come out.

Ayuh,.... I've seen little rubber plugs for those holes, but I just do as Don said...
