I have a 125 Force and have NGK BUHX in there now, I wanted a back up set but all I could get in short notice was the BUHW. They told me there were the next cooler plug. Sometimes people at auto parts stores will tell you things just to sell you something. So my question is : Are they the next cooler plug? I do a lot of WOT running so I wouldnt think a cooler plug would hurt anything. There only incase I foul out ,the BUHX are new maybe 2 hrs on them at most should be fine.

Re: Plugs

Probably the only thing you will have issues with when running a cooler plug than what is called for is the plug could possibly foul out easier. The heat dissapation of the plug is there for self cleaning purposes. Too hot of a plug can cause pre-detonation because the electrode will not dissapate the heat fast enough and will pre-ignite the mixture before the actual spark does. Can't tell you for sure if what you purchased is colder than what you have. Try calling another parts house with both numbers and ask them which is the hotter plug.

Re: Plugs

It is just a question of fouling . The BUHW is a colder pulg than the BUHX. I just didnt want a hotter one , that wouldn't be good . Just wanted to make sure it was a colder plug so I wouldnt blow a hole in the piston. I run WOT from the jetty to the oil rigs and wrecks to fish , shut down and fish ,fire up and run back. Today I ran out and creeped back LOL. The water pump wouldnt pump at high speeds. Came back very slow, what a drag!:( Now I'am looking for the correct part for the pump and have time to get the correct plugs ;) Thanks for all the tech help.
