plywood decking replacement

I am replacing the vinyl flooring on my 94 jetcraft. I have had the floor apart recently to address some large dents from a previous owner. I noticed alot of water staining as it was just bare wood. What is a good paint to use to seal the new plywood sheets and still allow good adhesion of the vinyl.

I agree with Bondo.
Resin can be sanded to make the application of the vinyl work well.
But go to the restoration and repair forum.

Coat all of the wood with thinned epoxy resin until it will not absorb any more. Then use one sheet of cloth on the top (so you don't sand through the resin roughing it up for the carpet glue)

The epoxy (if thinned properly) will penetrate the wood and seal it so that even if the top most layer later cracks a bit the wood fibers are still saturated with epoxy and that wood will likely outlast you and the next owner.

It has always peaved me that the builders skimp on boat decks and transoms just because they know the thing will outlive the warranty. If done while the boat was being built it would have added maybe $100 or so to the cost of the boat... having to rip it all out and re-do it costs several times that and can take weeks or longer if the rot has spread.... and it usually has.
