I fabricated a new plywood panel for my 1984 Sea Ray 210 SRV. It's approximately 18 by 25 inches. One side forms the port side of the engine compartment and the other side forms the side of a storage well where the batteries are installed. The 4 inch wide top is part of the deck. The top will be carpeted.

I'm new to this type of work. I'm looking for a recommendation for a primer to protect this wood- what brand, where to buy.

Re: Plywood Primer Recommendation

Seal it up with epoxy or fiberglass resin. The key is to make it completely sealed and waterproof. The battery box side would benefit from a layer of fiberglass cloth attached to the wood.
