pole setting for tach

how many poles on a johnson 110 1986. The tach says 6, 8, 10 ,12. I think it is either 6 or 12. Does anyone have the answer? Thanks

The OMC outboard charging system operates on a six (6) pulse setup. Set the dial to number six (6).
