The ss cleats and bow rail need a polishing to bring up that high luster. I know from experience that steel wool will leave a fine coat of steel on the stainless that will rust in short order. I wanted to get some Brass wool, but only found Copper. Anyone know if copper wool will have a problem like the steel wool does? I polished one cleat and it came out fabulous! But I want to find out if there are any issues with using copper pads to polish stainelss before i do any more.

You might give Brass-O Metal Polish a try without the wool.

I use Nevr-Dull wadding polish. It comes with its own applicator so all you do is open the can, tear off a hunk of the wading and go at it. It's available in most automotive stores

My wife turned me on the stuff. She uses it to clean the bits and bridles for the horses.
