Summer - It sits on a boat lift right outside my cabin.

Winter - It's stored in my garage at the cabin.

Didn't see any choice that represents this. #2 suggests a 'paid for' dock/slip.

Re: POLL: What do you do with your boat when not in use?

I trailer mine for several reasons, its easier to cover and protect from the elements on a trailer, it's safer in my driveway than at the marina, and it keeps my options open as far as where I fish. Plus, I don't have to worry about a bilge pump failing or some joker messing with my boat while it's docked. There were a few boats last summer that had their drain plugs pulled while in the water, that's an occurrence I'd rather not deal with.

Trailer it in the driveway - wash it, clean it down inside, doing this and that to it.

You forgot to add option 4) Wishing it was back in the water.

Trailer it home so we can clean it. Thats when the beer drinking starts! The boat stays very clean that way.:D

We like to have lunch on the boat in the driveway playing pretend boating! Besides, then I can wrench on it too and not get in trouble...oh wait, it hasn't been in the water for a month! Better go have lunch and wrench....

#1 and #2: We usually keep the boat on the trailer during the week and then in our slip during the weekends.... I hate haveing a dirty boat and by pulling it out during the week allows us {actually the kids:)} to clean it and also keeps the hull clean...

On trailer just behind the house and under a cover. Normal boating, hook up, back up and i am in the water. If going somewhere else pull forward out the gate to where ever.

At 12,000 pounds, it only gets trailered twice a year - to and from the storage yard. Approximately a mile each way.

Mine lives on my trailer ... up until 2 years ago when I had a house it was garage kept...

Now it sits outside... next project is to build a carport then as money permits enclose it to make a garage so it can be protected again... FL sun/rain/weather is brutal on boats!

I trailer mine because we live on a lake and have shared access, but no one is allowed to put in a dock.
Some people anchor in knee deep water, but I don't trust it, too many hooligans.

trailer it , and unfortunately leave it parked in a fairly busy location , but nothings left onboard, I take the engine and gastank, etc. and keep them in my garage, and the boat has the coupler lock toungue lock, a chain lock locking the boat to the front of the trailer, two locks on the stern locking it to the rear of the trailer and the trailer locked to a tree via a 3/4" plastic coated cable and a bicycle ulock.

Re: POLL: What do you do with your boat when not in use?

I trailer mine. I've got 3 options (2 lakes and a river) that I can choose from on the weekends. If I only had one place to boat, it would sit on a lift in a covered slip. :)
