polyurethane paint over slightly tacky vinylester?

Considering putting a coat of Total Tread Deck paint over some hard but still sticky vinylester. Is this a good or a bad idea?

Probably should wait till it's finished curing. Put a heat lamp over it.

Thanks for the tip. We had some hot days here in Texas, so I pulled it out into the sun and it cured right up. Thanks again.
