I am not sure if this is OK or not. I know the person who had put in the wood for the floors of my boat put 3-4 coats of polyurethane on the wood. The wood is down and I am ready to re-fiberglass the floor but I am not sure if this is OK or not because it may interrupt the setting of the fiber glass. I did search around for this topic but couldn't seem to find any info on this.

Thanks in Advance!

I also believe it's regualar grade 1 plywood with 3-4 coats, I'm feeling this is a bad idea before i start putting down the fiberglass.

No polyurethane for you . . . you should glass right onto the wood for good adhesion, etc. The resin will do the same thing as polyurethane and a lot more.

If the urethane is already down you have 2 options.

1. Sand it with some 100 grit to roughen the surface for bonding purposes.

2. Sand the urethane completely off.

Thank you so much for the advice! Now I atleast have a better understanding but now do i use a Epoxy Resin or a Poly Resin because from everything i've read and if i were to sand the wood down, the Poly resin won't set as well as the Epoxy bc it's already painted with polyurethane.

Go with epoxy, it's much stronger than polyester.
