I posted this on nothing to do with boats but i want to give it maximum exposure. I am in the process of purchasing a new home with a pond/lake Man made 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 acres. It is now in good condition and i want to maintain it like that. It has bluegills, and large mouth bass and a couple of grass carp/. i would like to add a few catfish to it also. I do not know if i need to treat this pond with someting or just leave it alone.any suggestions will be appreciated or if you can tell me where i may find information on maintaing this pond.

Re: Pond/lake

Try your local DNR. Here pond owners used to be able to get a division to survey the pond and let them know what they need to do. There are a few companies that offer this as well but I don't know if any are in your area. Adding a feeded or two would not hurt as would some form of airation like a fountian or something. As I said first I would contact my local DNR and take it from there. Side thought I saw a pond management booth at the last sportsmans show I went to so that could also be a great sourse of info when the next one comes into your area.
