I did something kool!
Since my Pontoon is packaged for winter and the wife wants to do some work on it in the spring... (I usually do ALL the repairs or modifications on the boat by myself anyways) I was bored and came up with this. Electric powered winch attached to an engine hoist and I made the extension boom for it. I have it where it extends about 5 feet over our parked-in-the-driveway pontoon. Also, made a tiny extension for when you remove the boom, you can insert the tiny one and it'll still serve as a normal engine hoist.
I've already tested it out with a 300lb chunk of concrete left over from our long gone basketball goal and the front end of my lawnmower

HTH for those who do repairs alone on your boat.
