Has anyone ever used Rustoleum Deck Restore or a similar product from Home Depot or Lowes over the plywood decking of a pontoon? I was wanting to leave the boat out in the open without a cover and need a way to protect the floor from rotting. I used deck restore on my concrete porch and it has held up pretty good for 3 years now except where there is a low spot and puddles. It really seems that it dries pretty hard and not sure if the flexing plywood while operating would cause the produce to crack? I see that bass pro has a product called Tuff Coat but it's pretty pricey at $350 vs the deck restore at $125 for my boat but I think the Tuff Coat will flex more with the rubber in the product.

Any other suggestions, not really picky, I even thought about buying some vinyl flooring from Home Depot and gluing it down.

a good exterior grade plywood on a pontoon should last at least 20 years. if you want to go longer than that, you may have to look into more encapsulation.

if this is a fishing barge, I would go with Rhino liner from your local bed liner shop.

I just bought the boat and the plywood is already pretty old but in fair shape, I'll contact a local shop and see if they have Rhino in a tan color.and compare the price to cover 135 sq ft.
