pontoon drains

I am new to pontoons, before i launched my aquachalet tri-poon i noticed drain plugs on the rear of the logs. should i open them for winter storage. i live in ne pa.

I would open them before storage just to see if there is anything in there. It would help if the bow was slightly elevated.

I WOULD NOT leave them open during the winter. That opens up room for insects and all sorts of moisture to get in.
