Some new pontoons have the engine mounted behind the deck and pontoons. Mine is mounted in a cutout in the deck which is actually forward of the end of the pontoons. I would like to know if one is better than the other in terms of performance. I have considered moving mine back to provide a small platform and ladder for access, but I don’t want to sacrifice performance
