What's on there now? Are you saying you do, or are supposed to, get 3800-4200 at WOT?

Re: Pontoon Prop ?

Well long story short. We cant remember what it was. We have a partnership with another couple. He drives the pontoon and i have the ski boat. The origanal was destroyed last year ( He is kinda hard on things) and i took it to the shop and they said it was beyoned repair and they had some used ones. So i said will that one work they said yes but you wont beable to go very fast, i said ok price is right. Well its a dog ! maybe 10 to 15 mph then it revs to the moon and it dont go anywere.
I am just looking for a replacement for this one, My bad for not getting info off old one, last year the prop did realy well untill you know!

Not sure what the WOT rmps should be, Around 4400 to 4800? Sound about right?

Re: Pontoon Prop ?

You'll need to know what size the present prop is.Usaually near the base of the blades or under the prop nut. You will need to prop for close to 4800.
Do a test run lightly loaded get as accurate rpm as possible.
I would suggest a 4 blade prop A 1" pitch change will net "about" 150 -200 rpm change
lower number increases rpm, higher number reduces rpm. Your selection will depend on present prop size and an accurate rpm reading.

What do you mean when you say it revs to moon and doesn't go anywhere? That characterization leads me to wonder whether you might have a spun hub.
