Pontoon Re-build :Front Lounge/bench seat questions.

I figure I?ll ask this question here, since you guys are toon owners.
Since my new winter project is about to start, I have a question about pontoon seats. The toon I got has to have the seats replaced. (wood, and the arms are rotten and the fabric is ripped, and the beer holders are broken, so I?m replacing all the furniture. )

The current 2 bench seats at the front are 40? with 7? arm rests on each side. I noticed most furniture has 36? bench seats, and the group settings show only one arm rest, I thought you would want an arm rest ( and cup holder) on both sides of the bench, but at only 3 feet wide, that would make for a snug fit for two.

I have 54? from the front to the side door, so the 36? bench and 2 - 8.5? arm rests would fit (and allow me to put speakers in the arm rests).

It?s a 24 foot toon ( with space up front where fishing seats go). Does anyone else have such a small front bench seat with arm rests on only one side? I could get a 50? bench with no arm rests, but then where do you put your beer ( or the speakers)?

I have been looking for pics of pontoon to see how the seating on them is, but most I find are newer with wrap around seats.

You can buy seats with either right or left side arm rests. An additional arm rest is available separately that fits either end. That configuration allows installing multiple straight seats, a straight and curved unit, or virtually any combination you want.

i onley have 2 sets across the back with armrest on each end with DRINK holders .2 fishing chairs up frunt .

Have you tried Pontoostuff.com? I am in the process of rebuilding my toon and had to replace everything. Deck, Carpet, Helm and all the seats and I am well pleased with these folks and the shipping is free and very fast..usually about 2/3 days delivery time..Their web site is www.pontoonstuff.com

Actually, I'm going to be buying my stuff from pontoonspecialists, as someone gave me two 36" bench seats which are new. They are from this place, the premium series, so I only have to get 2 more benches and all new arms. Also, this place makes 9.5" arms, which fit my original seat arrangements. I'm going to have the captains chair re-done, As the batteries are under this seat. I will leave the helm, as I dont want to mess with the wiring.


I finally saw a pontoon up close which had just a bench with only one arm rest, open on the other side. the reason it had no 2nd arm rest was that it would not fit (It was a smaller toon). So, with my arrangement, i can fit the 2 arms.

I'll be bringing it home this weekend to work on it.

Chris, here is the layout of my 94 it has only one armrest but as you can see speakers are in the boxes and my benches fold out to make one helluva bed.
