Pontoon Trailer Question

I recently got this boat and it has a trailler with the v boards for the pontoons to rest in. It has 4 vertical alignment boards that help line it up while loading. With the boat resting on the trailer how close to the pontoons do the 4 vertical alignment boards need to be?
Thanks.

Re: Pontoon Trailer Question

on my trl i have rollers, they are about 6" from each tube when they are on the bunks, its not close enuf to make it set into the center of the bunks but enuf to keep it on the trl & a small push on the rear will seat it.the wind/current can be ugly & take forever to try to line it up perfect but after 10-20 loadings you get the do's & donts worked out.broke a bunk board loading it in current a few weeks ago.noticed it when i unloaded the next day :( .they needed replaced anyway so 1/2 are done now,mike243

Outsid/inside, anything that helps you find the underwater bunks will help; but they are not and shouldn't be close enough to force the boat onto the bunks. That 6" is a pretty good starting point on either type.
