Thinking about making a trip to Tablerock. We have a 20' ski boat and were wondering if the Kimberling City area will work for some skiing. We've heard that Tablerock is a MUST visit and are excited about spending a few days there. Any suggestions?

Re: Port of Kimberling on Tablerock

Just returned from Kimberling City area last week. It certainly was working for all the skiers we saw just west of the Kimberling City Bridge area! The water was murky compared to its "normal" quality because of the flooding in the area over the last few months, all is pretty much back to normal, but they had been lowering the lake level the week we were there. Fishing stank, even the guys in the PAA tourney that was going on while we were there were saying so.. again thanks to the water levels fluctuating so much. We tubed a lot and jet-ski'ed, and had a wonderfull time.
I would certainly go back, had a great time... If your staying in Kimberling City, take the kids to the Predators Zoo and Aquarium, mine had a blast feeding the sharks and petting stingrays....McFarlands Restaurant is a "must-eat" place.. located at the IMAX Complex in Branson...
Fuel was almost 70 cents cheaper away from the lake vs at the marinas.. Branson Landing is worth seeing, but go in the late evening, much more comfortable as there is a lot of walking involved! I have some pics I can send if you want to email me... cdreyn@sbcglobal.net
