Possible addition

I have a 16' 1990 Starcraft bowrider. I have removed the rear seats and the op seat and plan on installing a raised platform for fishing. I would like to do the same in the front section. Would I be adding to much weight, as my motor is a 2 cycle 50 H.P.?

Seats can be pretty heavy so it should be a pretty close exchange, just watch that you don't upset the balance of the boat, if you make the front deck too heavy it will make the boat handle funny and it may not plane right.

I can't see adding deck overlaoding the boat or being that much heaier than the funiture.
