possible fuel problem

i got a 150 vro 1990 i think that ther is a fuel problem cause it is hard to get to start up
i pump the primer until it gets hard and the primer works

will a fuel water separotor brand new cause this problem

but once it starts it runs good and it was miss firing the other day so i thruogh a new set of plugs it in

Are you calling the bulb the primer? The primer is on the key switch.Are you priming it with the key-switch? james

srry i mean the engine primer soloniod is sending fuel to the carb\
